Welcome to Prescott Yoga and the instructional yoga offerings of Rachel Peters. While Prescott Yoga has had a rich history in the area as being a yoga studio and place of gathering and practice, it has evolved into being the offerings of yoga instruction by Rachel. Inspired by the natural environment, the importance of experiencing freedom in our bodies, and the love of the yoga practice, Rachel’s vision is to offer safe, fun and inspiring yoga classes to all levels.
Rachel was Certified in Anusara Yoga in 2007 and is a Certified Yoga Instructor and eRYT500 through the Yoga Alliance. Her classes merge alignment, focus on form, a connection to the breath and life off the yoga mat. Her classes are fun, full of instruction, while being challenging and inspiring for all level of students.
Rachel’s classes are inspired by her experiences in nature and her on going studies with Senior teachers of many methods, especially Christina Sell and Paul Muller-Ortega. Not only is Rachel a qualified yoga instructor, she also has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies and works full time at Prescott College as the Director of Field Operations. She loves mountain biking, river running and being with friends on her yoga mat.
Starting in January 2013 Rachel will be offering all her classes out of the Lotus Bloom Yoga Studio at 777 HIllside in Prescott. There is usually something fun and out of the ordinary brewing whether a fun class series, hosting a teacher from out of town, music or just a fun, rockin', long class - so be sure to check the Special Events from time to time and sign up to receive Rachel's newsletter.
*Snowy days in Prescott do happen. Prescott Yoga follows the lead of the Prescott Unified School District with delays and closures. If the schools are delayed or closed, there are no morning classes.
